Tour Program

Day 1 – Traveling to Trabzon – (D)
AM Pickup from your hotel in Istanbul, transfer to the domestic airport
Flight to Trabzon,
Arrive in Trabzon,
Meet up with your driver guide and continue on a scenic drive into the countryside to visit to the Sumela Monastery, a 1,600-year-old Greek Orthodox monastery perched dramatically on a cliffside amidst the Kaçkar Mountains. Explore the ancient halls, chapels, and frescoes, and enjoy breathtaking views of the lush valley below.
Delicioius lunch in a local restaurant.
Next, head to the Karaca Cave, known as the “Crystal Palace” due to its stunning formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Take a guided tour of this magnificent natural wonder and learn about its geological history.
Return to the hotel & Overnight in Trabzon.

Day 2 – Traveling to Rize – Artvin- Savsat – (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel
09:00 am Meet up with your driver guide and continue on a scenic drive towards East to Rize, known for its stunning tea plantations and breathtaking landscapes.
Visit the Rize Castle, a 14th-century fortress that offers panoramic views of the city and the Black Sea.
Next, continue our drive further East to Artvin, where will stop for lunch.
Then continue our drive to Savsat.
Arrival, check in and enjoy rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner at the hotel & Overnight in Savsat.

Day 3 – Savsat – (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel
Start the day visiting the breathtaking Karagöl-Sahara National Park, known for its stunning lakes, dense forests, and majestic mountains.
Enjoy Picnic lunch
Take a hike in the national park, enjoying the tranquility of nature and the remarkable views.
Dinner and overnight in Savsat.

Day 4 – Traveling to Kars – (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel
09:30 am Meet up and depart on an amazing scenic drive towards further South-East to Kars.
Noon arrival, lunch at a local restaurant.
Spend rest of the afternoon visiting to the ruins of Ani, a medieval Armenian city that was once a bustling center of trade and culture.
Marvel at the ancient churches, city walls, and other architectural remnants that still stand today.
Return to Kars in the afternoon and spend some leisure time exploring the city or visiting local bazaars for shopping.
Dinner at the hotel
Overnight in Kars.

Day 5 – Traveling to Dogubeyazit & Van – (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel
09:30 am Meet up and depart for 2 hour drive to Dogubeyazit
Dogubeyazit, a town located near the Iranian border, known for its historical sites.
Visit the Ishak Pasha Palace, an architectural masterpiece that combines Persian, Ottoman, and Armenian influences.
Explore the legendary Crater Lake, also known as Noah’s Ark, located on Mount Ararat.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue on another 3 hour drive South to the City of Van.
Arrival, check-in, free time to rest and refresh, dinner at the hotel
Overnight in Van.

Day 6 – Exploring Van – (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel
Meet up and start your day by visiting Van Castle, an ancient fortress dating back to the Urartian civilization. Explore its well-preserved walls and towers and enjoy panoramic views of the city and Lake Van from the castle’s vantage point.
After the museum, take a leisurely stroll along the lakeside promenade, enjoying the refreshing breeze and picturesque views of Lake Van.
You can stop by one of the cafes or tea houses to savor a traditional Turkish tea while taking in the scenery.
Lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample Van’s famous cuisine and try “kaymak,” a local cheese dish, and “katmer,” a flaky pastry filled with various ingredients.
After lunch, visit the Armenian Church of the Holy Cross on Akdamar Island.
Take a boat ride to the island and explore the stunning 10th-century church adorned with intricate stone carvings.
Enjoy the tranquility of the island and soak in the beauty of Lake Van.
Head back to the mainland and visit the Fish Market, where you can witness the vibrant atmosphere of locals buying and selling fresh catches of the day.

Overnight in Van.

Day 7 – Traveling back to Istanbul – (B)

09:30 am Meet up with your driver guide & transfer to Van Airport for your flight to Istanbul.
